Thank You

Thanks to the continued support of many generous donors and caring volunteers, we reached some of our long term, strategic goals for improving the service we offer to those in most need in our community and for using the resources entrusted to us by you in the best way possible.

Through the extreme generosity of an anonymous donor, we received the gift of our new Caring Center building at 1230 Ransdell Court in Lebanon in 2006. This was a dream come true! More than doubling our space to over 5000 sqaure feet, this new building has much larger and nicer facilities for both receiving and displaying the food and clothing we distribute. It also has a great kitchen and much needed meeting space. More people will be helped now!

• As a result of this gift, we are now using the “old” Caring Center building on Indianapolis Avenue as a resale or thrift store.
• With more ground at our new building, we opened a 2nd Community Garden area there.
• With strong input from the community, we have written a strategic plan to guide our efforts in future years.

The mission statement in our strategic plan continues to call for us to “stabilize families in crisis and move those caught in poverty towards self-sufficiency”. We are excited about our mission. It is a noble one.

We hope you are excited by that mission since we depend on volunteers. We need more volunteers in the Caring Center and at the Resale store. We need your help if the children in our community who are in poverty are to escape that poverty. We ask for your ideas, your energy and commitment. If you are already working with us, we most sincerely thank you and invite you to deepen that commitment. If you are not yet working with us, we invite you to join with us in this great work.
